Seychelles – The Invisible Luxury Prison
“Seychelles, the holiday paradise!” Promotional promises that I have not noticed, nor even think about them. Places where only the privileged, with the necessary monetary force, can flee to cure themselfs with sun and sea. These and many more stereotypical attitudes flood my thoughts. I do not know exactly why such destinations are now attached to me. Maybe because since I start writing my letters to you, I think I feel like I am aging. Of, course I can´t age, I´m a doll, but you know, he says there are for all ages the right places. I don´t think so, but it could be true. … Or maybe because since we are married, we are searching after the human paradise. I’m not sure, but what I know is that I’m very curious how such paradises can look like? How well do people live in such paradises? Has one also refused to them the bite into the apple? Or do they just have a universal fortune in misfortune. Does the sun also conforts them, like it conforts the tourists? Does the sea give them the feeling of having arrived, or does it crush them and awakens the feeling of departure? Are they as impressed by the colors of the sunset as the tourists, who feel the sky has prepared a light show to welcome them every day?
They have the sun.
They have the sea.
They have the most beautiful sunsets every day.
They have the mountains and the trees.
But are they free?
I have myself to see…
We are equal.
In paradies we never be free.
